Description: Planting cover crops is one of the most effective ways to improve and protect your garden and orchard’s soil. Learn how to select, plant, and harvest/incorporate cover crops in the home garden and orchard at this lecture/demonstration workshop led by Chadwick Garden manager Orin Martin. The workshop takes place from 10 am – 1 pm on Saturday, October 12, at the Alan Chadwick Garden on the UC Santa Cruz campus. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a snack.
