Instructional Resources
Through its Apprenticeship in Ecological Horticulture, the Center for Agroecology and Sustainable Food Systems has been a leader in developing experiential sustainable agriculture education for nearly 40 years. The Center’s education and training resources integrate the study of theoretical aspects of agricultural sustainability with field-based, participatory learning of sustainable agriculture practices.
Our two instructional manuals
- Teaching Organic Farming and Gardening: Resources for Instructors, and
- Teaching Direct Marketing and Small Farm Viability: Resources for Instructors,
have received high marks from sustainable agriculture experts worldwide as valuable teaching tools.
We’ve now added the online
as a resource for instructors developing new courses or enhancing their existing classes.
