Research Opportunities

Center Facilities

The Center's Farm and Garden facilities are open to faculty, staff, and students interested in pursuing field or laboratory research, and for use by classes. Researchers from other institutions, such as Cooperative Extension, may also collaborate on Center research projects or propose new projects. For more information, contact Damian Parr at 459-3375 or by email.

Working Group on Sustainable Agriculture

Center issues specialist Patricia Allen has worked with UCSC faculty to develop the multi-disciplinary Agri-Food Systems Working Group and the Agrifood Seminar. This group meets frequently each quarter and provides a forum for graduate students and faculty to discuss their own research and emerging debates in the field. For more information, contact Jonathon Landeck, 459-4540.

Internship Opportunities

Undergraduates can take part in Center field research as field and laboratory assistants, and can serve as research assistants on other projects. For a list of current internship opportunities, contact CASFS, 459-3240, or see our internship flyer.
