Developing a sustainable food system means addressing the social issues that influence the way food is grown, processed and distributed. Center members collaborate with students, faculty, community groups, and policy makers on projects to improve food system sustainability through efforts such as improved school food programs, policies that promote sustainable farming and food system practices, and research on small-farm viability.
