The Friends of the UCSC Farm & Garden will offer a series of 2019 community workshops this winter that cover fruit tree care, gardening techniques, and chicken keeping. Build your skill set and learn organic techniques to enhance your backyard or community garden.
Workshop instructors include Matthew Sutton, founder and owner of Orchard Keepers, Christof Bernau, garden manager at the UCSC Farm, Laura Sasso, a graduate of the advanced apprenticeship at the UCSC Farm & Garden, and UC Master Gardener Candice McLaren.
Workshops are geared to beginning and intermediate fruit tree growers, gardeners, and chicken keepers, although all experience levels are welcome to attend.

And coming on April 13, there will be a new workshop on growing organic hops and hop trellis design for the home gardener offered at the Alan Chadwick Garden at UC Santa Cruz.
