Please join us for these final candidate presentations taking place at the Cowell Coffee Shop for the Cowell Coffee Shop Food Supervisor position. 

January 30, 2020, 2:10-2:50 pm: Brooks Shmitt

Brooks Shmitt studied Classical Studies at UC Santa Cruz and worked at the Center for Agroecology & Sustainable Food Systems (CASFS) as a student. He currently works as the proprietor of Bruxo Food Truck, a food truck that provides cuisine with exotic flavors made with local ingredients to the general public. 

January 31, 2020, 3:10-3:50 pm: Michele Volich

Michele Volich has over 35 years of experience in the food service industry as a cook, caterer, event chef, and special events manager. She studied Business at Cabrillo College and is currently employed with UCSC Dining and Catering, where she has worked since 2012.

February 11, 2020, 11:10-11:50 am: Mike Kraus

Mike Kraus studied Anthropology at Saint Mary’s College, and Professional Cooking at Baltimore International Culinary College. He has been working with UCSC Dining Services in various positions for the last decade and is currently unit manager.

The Cowell Coffee Shop Food Supervisor will oversee daily activities of Cowell Coffee Shop employees and maintain excellent customer service standards, as well as participate in campus basic needs leadership meetings and planning activities.
