Produce Pop-Up opens for spring quarter on April 2 and will take place every Friday from 10am to 2pm through June 4. Locations will alternate every other week between Family Student Housing (April 2, 16, 30; May 14, 28) and the Cowell Coffee Shop (April 9, 23; May 7, 21; June 4).

Produce Pop-Up is a weekly organic produce distribution service for UC Santa Cruz students. This year, produce sourced from the UCSC Farm and Garden and other local organic farms is offered to students free of charge.

In order to facilitate social distancing, students should sign up for a timeslot to pick up their produce. Sign ups will be open six days prior to each distribution day. Produce will be distributed in curated boxes with options for students with or without kitchens, or students can select a fusion box. Depending on availability, there will also be options for purchasing bulk goods. For more information, visit casfs.ucsc.edu or email ucscproducepopup@gmail.com.

The Pop-Ups are part of a broad effort to provide low-cost and free healthy, organic food to students at UC Santa Cruz. Other resources include the new non-cash Cowell Coffee Shop, campus food pantries, the Swipes for Slugs program, and CalFresh enrollment efforts. Find out about these programs and more at the Basic Needs website.
