Produce, Flower, and Plant Sales

The Market Cart at the base of the UCSC campus

The 30-acre UCSC Farm and 3-acre Alan Chadwick Garden produce an abundance of organically grown produce, herbs and flowers. Crops grown by CASFS staff and students are available at several outlets.

Market Cart

Organic vegetables, fruit, herbs and flowers are sold weekly at the UCSC Farm & Garden's Market Cart, starting in June and continuing through late October (weather permitting). The Market Cart is open on Fridays from 12 pm to 6 pm at the base of the UC Santa Cruz campus (corner of Bay and High Streets).

The cart will be open into late October or early November, depending on the length of the growing season. Check our events calendar for more information, or email casfs@ucsc.edu

Please note that due to UCSC coronavirus restrictions Market Cart is not currently operating for the 2020 season.

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)

The Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) project offers shareholders a box of fresh organic produce each week. Shareholders are also welcome to harvest from the CSA herb and flower garden at the UCSC Farm.

Produce Pop-Up

The UCSC Farm also provides low cost produce to the Organic Produce Pop-Up stands during the academic year, and provides produce directly to campus food pantries through the UCSC Basic Needs program. Check the Events page for a schedule of Produce Pop-Ups. Please note that due to UCSC coronavirus restrictions the Produce Pop-Up is not currently operating at this time.

Flower Sales

Organically grown flowers from the UCSC Farm and Chadwick Garden can be purchased for weddings and other events. If you're interested in purchasing flowers, please see the Flower Sales page.

Plant Sales

Organically grown annual and perennial plants from the UCSC Farm & Garden are available at the Spring Plant Sale, which takes place the last weekend of April or first weekend of May. Please check the Events page for dates and times of upcoming sales.

Proceeds from produce, flower and plant sales support the UCSC Farm & Garden facilities, and the Center's Apprenticeship training course in organic farming and gardening.

Wholesale Produce Sales

Sales (both direct and wholesale) of organic produce can be arranged by contacting Darryl Wong at 831.459-3604, or by email.
