Get Involved

Interns harvesting greens at the UCSC Farm.

Join the Center for Agroecology in advancing an ecologically sustainable and socially just food system—there are many ways to get involved.

If you're interested in joining the Center for Agroecology team, check out our job opportunities for perennial (permanent) and student staff.

We offer for-credit internships to UCSC students through the Environmental Studies Department. Undergraduates can also get involved with the Food Systems Working Group (FSWG), a group of UCSC students, staff, faculty, and community members working to bring sustainably grown food produced by socially responsible operations to campus dining halls and through a collaborative process, promote education and awareness of our food system.

Community members can get involved with Center for Agroecology and help support our work by joining the Friends of the UCSC Farm & Garden, a community-based group that supports a variety of education and scholarship programs. The Friends focus their efforts on community outreach, Farm & Garden facility improvements, and public education.

Other ways to get involved include participating in Center for Agroecology events and workshops and purchasing Center of Agroecology produce and flowers at our Farmstand or through our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program.
